” An eclectic range of hot acoustic music from Paris to Buenos Aires”

Whitwell Forward are delighted to announce that Hot Fingers, with their eclectic mix of vintage acoustic string music, will be returning to Whitwell Community Centre on Saturday 22nd March.
The trio visit the hot jazz of 1920s New York and sophisticated 1930s swing. From the ‘French Coffee House’ sound of Django Reinhardt and the syncopated Latin rhythms of Oscar Aleman, to the early blues, jazz and swing.
The band attracts audiences of all ages and musical tastes with their infectious enthusiasm and light-hearted approach. Although just a trio, the band plays three guitars, a double bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, clarinet, sousaphone, bass clarinet and a pair of castanets.
Whitwell Community Centre will become a Speakeasy for the event, complete with fun casino, gangsters and flappers. Vintage 1920’s – 1930’s dress is optional, but an offer you can’t refuse, as it will add to the atmosphere of the evening.
Hot Fingers’ shows around the county have sold out so please get your tickets early. They are available from Whitwell Community Centre on 01909 723490, or email Whitwell Forward members through the Contact page on their website.
