As part of Chairman Of Bolsover District Council, Tom Munro’s fund-raising for Sight Support Derbyshire, Whitwell Cricket Club are hosting Derbyshire Owls, current North East development league Champions for a one-off match.
The event, which is sponsored by several local companies, will be a showcase for Visually Impaired cricket and an opportunity for anyone interested to experience the game and have a go.
Refreshments including cream teas will be available all afternoon in addition to a raffle with interesting cricket-based and other prizes.
In addition there will be an on-line auction of a shirt signed by James Anderson, England’s Leading Test Wicket taker, during the days leading up to the event.
Entry is FREE for this exciting event so come along with the family and enjoy the atmosphere.
