Whitwell Forward

Whitwell Forward Community Group was established in 2009 by a group of residents that felt it important that the community had a voice and the opportunity to improve their quality of life.
To this end the members aim to represent the community in consultation with the council and other bodies, to organise quality activities and events that the whole community can be proud of and to access funding which can help bring community projects to life.
Initially we have concentrated on delivering high quality music, theatre, comedy and film (check out our website) including the  Whitwell Festival of Music, professional theatre/music through Live and Local, regular gigs by top bands of proven quality and we were instrumental in the provision of state of the art cinemagraphic equipment, installed in Whitwell Centre, for use by all the community.
